日文「爆買い」是什麼意思？
爆買い (發音:八哭嘎依/bakugai)，大量購買之行為。2015年7月，因為大陸人到日本掃貨(家電、美容用品、家常用藥、糖果)，造成成田機場往中國班機延誤(因為中國客行李讓飛機負荷超載)，後來成田機場用此詞呼籲來客不要買太多。

把字給拆開, 各段記讀音和意義。
例如一個很長的字 Otorhinolaryngology
可以拆成oto (毆偷), 和耳朵有關的，
rhino (ㄖㄨㄞ ㄋㄡ) , 和鼻子有關的，
laryngo (ㄌ ㄖㄩㄣ ㄍㄡ) 和咽喉有關的，
logy (拉嘰) 甚麼甚麼學，
合起來就是耳鼻喉醫學。
用logist(甚麼甚麼學者)換掉logy, otorhinolaryngologists 就是研究耳鼻喉科的學者／醫生。
有時間的話，盡量查字的來源，把字當成人一樣認識 (記住聲音、特徵、故事)。
多聽英文廣播、看電影開英文字幕，把聽到的字跟著唸幾遍，培養對這語言的語感。
習慣了之後，聽到字就可拼出來囉。
這個方法不只適用在英文，其他語言也可以。
學久之後，其實很少在背新字了，都是以前學過的字根、字首組合成的。
